This Orphanage for boys aged 10 to 18 is located in the poorest part of Cusco. The children who live in the orphanage are sent there by the juvenile court and either don't have family or their parents can't take care of them. The boys do attend school but as is the case in most developing countries access to creative education is limited and these boys would really benefit from learning new creative skills.
The orphanage is very run down and would particularly benefit from artist murals, art classes, new gardens, and play and music areas. It would also benefit from creative DIYers to ‘do up’ the children’s dorms and communal living areas. The children make their own shoes so you could learn something too!
